Colette Knuth, PhD
Since 2001, Dr. Knuth has led The Steward Group, a research and education consulting service that works primarily with organizations that are dedicated to providing high quality health care. Dr. Knuth has provided consultation to the US Department of Health and Human Services, US Department of Veterans Affairs and The University of Chicago Hospitals. She has been on the staff of the National Opinion Research Center (NORC), DePaul University, Stony Brook University, and the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Knuth graduated from the University of Chicago with a master’s degree in political science. She received her doctorate in public policy analysis from the University of Illinois. Dr. Knuth serves as the staff liaison to all Foundation committees.
William ‘Chip’ Dorsey, MD, MBA
Dr. Dorsey is the Manager of Finance, Corporate Development and Alliance Solutions at Zoetis (formerly Pfizer Animal Health). He is responsible for business development, R&D portfolio optimization, and strategic planning. He has extensive business development experience including negotiating, structuring, valuing and completing due diligence for IPOs, asset acquisitions, joint ventures, in-licenses (early research and late stage development). Dr. Dorsey received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry and MBA from the University of Virginia. He graduated as an MD from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his internship in general surgery at Rush University Medical Center He also serves as the Chair of the Workforce Partnership Committee.
Anthony Williams, PhD
Dr. Williams is a postdoctoral scholar at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. His research will introduce new ideas that challenge existing paradigms of Sox2 function in adult prostate tissue, evaluate the utility of Sox2 as a predictive biomarker for CRPC, and potentially identify novel drug targets for the development of improved therapies against metastatic CRPC. Dr. Williams was awarded his doctorate in Cancer Biology by the University of Miami – Miller School of Medicine and his dissertation title is Morphologic, Molecular and Functional Characterization of Circulating Tumor Cells His undergraduate degree was from Occidental College in Kinesiology/Pre-Medical Studies. Dr. Williams is also Co-Chair of the Workforce Partnership Committee.
Ms. Carlo is a Technical Architect at Sunflower Systems, an enterprise asset management solutions company specializing in the deployment of software tools and business processes to improve asset management operations. She has experience as an Application Developer, Application Administrator, and Technical Lead in a wide variety of business applications, including personal property and finance. She is National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certified Professional Property Specialist Certified. She received her undergraduate degree in computer science from Cornell University. Ms. Carlo also serves as the Mentoring Taskforce Chair and will continue to provide direction to Foundation on matters of data asset security.
Yolanda Bruce Brooks, Psy.D
Dr. Brooks is Founder and Principal at The Sports Life Transitions Institute. She is a clinically trained, entrepreneurial psychologist with a National Health Service in Psychology certification and a degree in Occupational Therapy (specialty neurological disorders). Dr. Brooks has extensive experience in designing, implementing and managing healthy lifestyle and transitioning programs as well as treating adjustment to disabling conditions through such platforms as employee and family assistance programs in various industries. Her extensive experience working with individuals performing in high profile and high stress situations includes her former roles as a Senior Director of Player Development for the National Basketball Association, as well as her role in the National Football League. Dr. Brooks also serves as Co-Chair of the Programs & Awards Committee.
Susan Fredericks, MBA
Ms. Fredericks is a non-profit professional with a proven track record in increasing revenue streams for private physician practices and professional associations. Known as an ethical problem solver who is 100% invested in leading organizations in decision-making based on quantitative and qualitative analysis. Strong background in creating professional development products and services, engaging and supporting committee members and improving physician practices. She served as the Education Director for the American Board and Academy of Pain Medicine and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses. Ms. Fredericks was awarded a MBA in Management and Operations from Benedictine University. She also serves as the Chair of the Leadership Conference Committee.
Ms. McDermott is the CEO of Vision Risk Services. She began her career as a Casualty Adjuster at Crawford & Company, one of the largest insurance adjusting organizations in the world. After 15 years of service, she founded Vision Risk Services with a mission to provide claims and consultative services that address the dynamic needs of self- insured persons and carriers. Since 2000, Vision Risk Services has provided managers with services that achieve claim outcomes that reduce the costs of risk. Ms. McDermott has a bachelor’s degree in Organization and Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Ms. McDermott also serves as the Chair of the Programs & Awards Committee.
